The challenge
Whitestone Partners is a 30-lawyer commercial litigation firm that was exchanging sensitive case documents with clients via email. There was no secure portal, no way for clients to self-serve on case status, and no audit trail for who accessed which documents and when. Partners relied on assistants forwarding files and manually tracking what had been shared with whom.
The firm's IT team had evaluated off-the-shelf legal portals but found them either prohibitively expensive, too rigid to match the firm's workflows, or lacking the security controls their corporate clients demanded. Several key clients had begun asking pointed questions about document handling practices. The firm needed a purpose-built solution with enterprise-grade authentication that they fully owned and controlled.
What we built
