The challenge
Clearpath Health operates five specialist clinics across two cities. Patient referrals arrived via one system. Lab results came through a separate portal. Internal clinical messages lived in a third platform, and appointment requests in a fourth. Clinicians and practice managers were context-switching between these systems dozens of times per day, often with multiple browser tabs open just to keep up.
The real cost was invisible: urgent referrals were sometimes missed for hours because they were buried in the wrong inbox. There was no unified triage view, no way to prioritise across channels, and no mechanism for flagging time-sensitive items. The practice director estimated that clinicians were losing 30 minutes per day to platform-switching alone — time that should have been spent with patients.
What we built
A unified clinical coordination dashboard that consolidates all patient-facing communications into a single, prioritised triage view:
- Multi-channel aggregation — referrals, lab results, patient messages, appointment requests, and internal clinical communications all flow into one interface, organised by patient and urgency
- AI-powered triage prioritisation — incoming items are automatically scored based on clinical urgency markers, wait times, referral source, and patient history, surfacing what matters most
- Keyboard-driven clinical workflow — designed for speed in a clinical setting, allowing clinicians to triage, assign, and respond without lifting their hands from the keyboard
- Real-time streaming — new items appear instantly as they arrive across all connected systems, ensuring the triage view is always current with zero manual refreshing
- Extensible integration layer — new clinical data sources can be connected without rebuilding the platform, using a standardised protocol for system interoperability
The results
- 4 separate systems consolidated into a single triage view across all five clinics
- Urgent referral response time reduced from hours to minutes
- 30% reduction in time clinicians spent context-switching between platforms
- Zero missed urgent items in the first 90 days of operation
What the client said
"Our clinicians finally have one place to look. Before this, an urgent referral could sit in an inbox for half a day because the clinician was working in a different system. Now everything is triaged, prioritised, and visible. The keyboard shortcuts were a small detail that made a huge difference — clinicians don't want to click through menus."
Technology
Secure integration layer connecting existing clinical systems, email, and practice management software into a unified real-time dashboard. AI-powered prioritisation engine with configurable urgency rules. Deployed within the clinic's existing infrastructure with full data sovereignty and patient privacy controls. Clearpath Health owns the entire platform.
